2022 Snow Removal Bid Form

ADVERTISMENT FOR BIDS FOR

SNOW REMOVAL AND SALTING

The City of Stamping Ground, Kentucky is accepting bids for the 2022-2023 season (approximately October 1, 2022 through April 30, 2023), and, alternately, may accept bids for one or two additional seasons, for snow removal from, and salting on, City streets and properties.

In order to be considered a bid must be submitted on a City of Stamping Ground Bid Sheet to Stamping Ground City Hall, 3374 Main Street, P.O. Box 29, Stamping Ground, Kentucky 40379 no later than 4 p.m. EDT, Friday, September 2, 2022. The Bid Sheet lists the City streets and properties, required insurance, and terms of performance. Bid Sheets may be obtained by contacting Reda Conn, Stamping Ground City Clerk, or Emily Lavoie, Stamping Ground Assistant City Clerk, phone (502) 535-6114 or fax (502) 535-6523, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EDT, or at the City’s website: stampinggroundky.gov. Bids will be opened at the regular City Commission meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 6, 2022 beginning at 6:00 p.m. EDT at Stamping Ground City Hall. The City of Stamping Ground reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Stamping Ground Snow Removal Requirements

Insurance: $1,000,000 liability to be carried by successful bidder with the City of Stamping Ground as an additional insured.

Contractor shall have back-up equipment for salting and snow removal should primary equipment fail.

Contractor shall arrive within 2 hours to begin snow removal if called.

Contractor shall communicate with the current Streets and Roads Commissioner when there is impending snow or winter related weather forecasted for Stamping Ground.

Contractor shall submit detailed work invoices within 2 weeks.

Contractor shall maintain a current city business license (may pay three years up front if awarded a three year contract).

Contractor shall be responsible for the streets and properties listed on reverse of this bid form. List may be amended by the city to add additional streets and/or properties if needed within the contract period. Contractor may then negotiate for the cost of the additional street and/or properties.

The city reserves the right to amend the snow removal requirements should it become necessary to insure effective snow removal policies for the city.

If in agreement to abide by the above snow removal requirements please provide your bid for either a one or up to three year agreement for snow removal and sign acknowledging acceptance of the requirements. Your bid should include, but is not limited to: salting expense; plowing expense; and sidewalk salting and shoveling for city buildings.
